Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the right amount of goods are available in stock. S/he will work with buyers to plan and select a product range. The Merchandising Manager will also help the management team in analyzing sales performance, forecasting sales, and profit and managing the budget. Also, s/he will be responsible for submitting warehouse inventory reports and clearing slow-moving goods in inventory.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Thinking and Planning: Must be able to develop a strong understanding of the vertical’s typical customer profile then select products and determine price based on the target customer.
  • Develop new product lines: Search for products that may sell effectively to our target market, reach out to suppliers for these  products, present a business case / product proposal to management, and activate products once approved
  • Oversee merchandising budget: Collaborate closely with the internal team, as well as Sarisuki’s chief commercial officer, to create budget proposals for inventory stocking, new products, and upcoming projects
  • Constantly improve the consumer experience: Manage consumer/customer feedback and implement effective solutions to quickly improve the user experience for consumers/customers
  • Ensure adherence to merchandising budget
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, as well as inventory clerks in each dark store, to ensure products are stocked
  • Work with top management to plan projects and products

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree preferably with a focus on merchandising, economics, business, or management
  • Comfortable with designing, executing and tracking successful digital marketing campaigns (SEM/SEO, email marketing, social media campaigns, integrated marketing campaigns, mobile marketing and direct marketing campaigns
  • At least 5+ years of experience preferably in fresh, fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.
  • Has in-depth knowledge about pricing, top-selling products, and margins
  • Goal and results oriented: Track record of success in achieving targets on time in a rapid growth, start-up environment Relentlessly driven and seeks challenges: Willingness to drive growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges 
  • Resourceful and creative: Can develop creative, innovative ideas for marketing through different channels to reach, engage and grow the Sarisuki community 
  • Highly detail-oriented: Ensure the quality of all marketing materials and communications; and manage budget
